Obituary of ARMSTRONG – Lawreen Patricia

January 23, 1913 – March 24, 2011 Lawreen Patricia Armstrong (nee Connor), passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the age of 98 years. Lawreen was born January 23, 1913 in Pincher Creek, Alberta. She graduated from Hôtel Dieu in Windsor as an RN in 1938. Lawreen met Bud in Lethbridge where her father had a medical practice. During the war years, they resided in Dawson Creek, BC, where Bud worked for the NW Service Command Bus Lines. They welcomed their son Tom in 1944, and made their home in Calgary shortly after. Lawreen is survived by her son Tom Armstrong; daughter-in-law Kathy Armstrong; granddaughters, Pamela (Mike) Bergsteinsson and Paula Armstrong; and great grandson Connor Bergsteinsson. She was predeceased by her parents Lena and Dr. Lawrence Connor; husband William Ernest (Bud) Armstrong; and sister Camille Hay. Please forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
