Condolences
Mary (and Roy) touched our family’s life in the years that we had the fortune to know them…we will always have a special place in our memories and hearts for both of them. We are sorry we are not able to be at the service(out of town)… our sincerest sympathy to the family.
May the family be upheld by God’s love and gentle care in this time of great sadness. I am praying for you all.

Daryl & Harold we send our love to you and your families. Mary and family were very special friends of our family and I have very fond memories of the special visits we had together. Mary & Mom were special friends and they now are in a special place together.
Sorry we can’t be with you tomorrow but know we are thinking of you and send our love.

To Mary’s family
I knew Mary for only a short time but during that time, I learned what a strong individual she was: thoughtful, giving, a pleasure to be with. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Dear Daryl & Stacey,
I only knew your mother for such a short time and yet she gave me a lifetime of inspiration. For a woman that had been through so much…losing her husband and then her battle with cancer…she remained positive and so full of life and humour. Most 84 year olds would have thrown a pity party and sunk into depression. Mary faced her cancer with determination and didn’t give up until she knew it was her time. I love how she still wanted to go out for a beer and play card games with her friends. What a wonderful joyful spirit to remember her by.
I will never forget how she modeled Jesus by always putting others before herself. Mary was a mother in the truest sense. Her special love that she had for her sons, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, and many others who she mothered, in one way or another over the years, makes me think that her given name, Mary, was deserved because it is as special a name as she is a person.
While you feel sadness for the loss of such an amazing mother, it must be comforting to know that she is now with your father and Her Father, enjoying what we can’t even comprehend in our earthly wisdom. There is great rejoicing going on in heaven and Mary, no doubt, is having the time of her life…eternally.
I was blessed to have known her and have been blessed by her example.
With much love,
Linda Cheyne
