Obituary of WOODWARD – Charles Francis

October 28, 1926 – March 22, 2011 Charles ‘Charlie’ Woodward, beloved husband of Mary Woodward of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Charlie was born on October 28, 1926 in Winnipeg, MB. He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour. Charlie is survived by his loving wife Mary of fifty six years. He is also survived by his brother in law William “Bill” James of Calgary; sister-in-law Beverley J. Smith of Calgary; niece Wendy Smith of Calgary; brother Jack (June) Woodward of Winnipeg; nephew Ken Woodward of Vancouver; niece Karen Egan and nephews Brian Woodward and Dr. Grant Saunders, all of Winnipeg; and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Helen “Nellie” Woodward, sisters Helen Saunders, Elizabeth “Betty” Woodward, Margaret D. James. Charlie was an all-breed dog judge, which took him all over the world. He donated many years to the Alberta Kennel Club of which he was an honorary life member.
