October 4, 1941 – March 21, 2011 Anne Marie Van Male-Adrian, beloved wife of Hank Adrian of Okotoks, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the age of 69 years. Anne was a beautiful and kind spirit who loved life and enriched the lives of all who knew her. She learned early in life to face adversity in her life as a challenge to succeed. Anne was born in Oakburn, Manitoba to immigrant parents (Emily and Stanley Skavinski). Her parents were very proud when she not only received her education but became a teacher. She continued her education and became a wonderful gardener. Her flowers proved her zest for life. She ran several successful businesses. She was a genius in the kitchen with her creative cooking. Her latest career was with Calgary Transit for twelve years. She loved her job, her fellow employees and her customers. Besides her loving husband Hank Adrian, she also leaves behind her step-children, sister Mary, as well as many family and friends. She is now free from pain and is smiling down from heaven above.
