Obituary of MOCHUK – Grace

February 17, 1917 – March 19, 2011 It is with sadness and thankfulness the family of Grace Mochuk announces that Mum, Grandma, and GiGi passed to her eternal reward on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the age of 94 years. Mum was born on February 17, 1917 in Delia, AB, received her education in Edmonton, AB and moved to Calgary shortly after being married in 1942. As a member of Crescent Heights Baptist Church for fifty-five years, Grace was active in the JOY Group for many years and was able to attend Sunday services until January of this year. Grace’s unwavering faith and Christian values will be cherished by her five daughters and their families including, Evelyn Milan, Marilyn (Don) Young, Beth (Doug) Florio, Janice (Dan) Petch, and Carol (Danny) Kearns; and her eleven grandchildren, Bob Sanders, Michael (Darcie) Young, Marshall (Pam) Young, Kevin Young, Breanne Florio, Kyle Florio, Bruce (Shara) Petch, Cathy (Mark) Houghton, Karen (Greg) Thomas, Matthew Kearns and Melissa Kearns. She is also survived by her fourteen great-grandchildren, Dayton, Jake, Justin, Cody, Mikayla, Austen, Kayla, Nicole, Nathan, Abram, Kennedy, Carson, Cassidy and Macen. Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband Mike (September 1976) as well as two sisters, two brothers and many friends. A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through .
