Obituary of LAZZAROTTO – Bruno Agostino
September 7, 1924 – March 19, 2011
Bruno Lazzarotto, beloved husband of Rosa Lazzarotto of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the age of 86 years.
Bruno was born on September 7, 1924 in Marostica, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He married Chiara “Rosa” LaBrocca in 1954. Bruno loved his family, his home and garden. He spent many summers exploring the mountains of Alberta and also enjoyed making wine every September.
Besides his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Bruno is survived by five children, Jimmy (Rosemary), Giuseppe, Mario (Michele), Lino, Anna Maria (Jean); beloved Nonno to Nicholas, Cynthia, Anthony, Matthew, Zoe and Kailene. He is also survived by his sisters, Elvira, Luciana (Franco) and Loretta (Renzo) all of Italy. He was predeceased by his son Domenico on March 7, 1989 and his sister Agostina Italo on February 28, 2011 in Italy.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Services to follow in St. Joseph’s Section at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
