Obituary of KRY – Peter

August 4, 1922 – March 19, 2011 Peter Kry, born in Albert Park, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at age 88. Peter was a gifted machinist who advanced to owning a partnership in Head’s Lock and Key before he retired. After that, Peter continued his love of machining in his garage workshop, producing exquisite model windmills and cannons of brass and stainless steel. He and Doreen loved to camp and be part of the Good Sam camping club, the Calgary Pioneers. They also followed a love of dance through the Seniors Hall at Confederation Park and in recent years at the Kerby Centre. He will be greatly missed by his wife Doreen (Thorpe), and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews across North America. If desired, donations in Peter’s name may be made to the Kerby Centre, 1133 7 Avenue S.W. Calgary, AB.
