Obituary of KOBROSLY – Sara
November 10, 1931 – March 15, 2011
Surrounded by her family, who loved her very much, Sara (Mary) Kobrosly, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2011.
Mary was born in Ain Arab, Lebanon on November 10, 1931 where she raised her family. On November 17, 1977 Mary and her family immigrated to Calgary. She was a very proud and caring mother; her love for family and friends was unmatched.
Mary will be fondly remembered by daughter Laura Habib and her children Donny, David and Diana and their families; and daughter and son-in-law, Jourieh and Nasr Chahine and their children, Chady and Robecca; son and daughter-in-law, Khalil and Sara and their children, George, Joanne and Karen; loving daughter and caregiver Evelene; son and daughter-in-law, Elias and Deirdre and their children Michael, Katherine, Christine and Jason; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Rola and their children Anthony, Joseph and Gabriella; brothers Joseph and David Daoud and their families, sister Rachel David and her family. Mary also has seven great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty three years, Georges; parents Zariffe and Salem, brothers Elias and Salim and sister Hanne. We will miss her thoughtfulness, generosity and love for everyone.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) Friday, March 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church (402 Meredith Road N.E.) on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
