Obituary of FLOOD – Arthur Lloyd

August 10, 1927 – March 15, 2011 Lloyd died in Calgary at peace, after a short illness and hard fight. He leaves Bea, his beloved wife of sixty years, his children Barbara Bodiguel, Jane Grace, Clint Flood and Craig Flood and his loving grandchildren Joel, Jordan, Stefan and Keelan Bodiguel, Leeann, Kayla and Cameron Flood, Sarah Irvine and Chloe and Nina Rowan. He also leaves Marcel Bodiguel, Cindy Flood, Caroline Rowan, Sharon Bodiguel and Ashley Bodiguel. A proud Geological Engineer and graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Lloyd lived a life full of adventure, friendship and memories. His career in the oil and gas industry in Canada, South East Asia and around the globe allowed him and his family to experience the richness and beauty of the world. He was a warm and generous man who made friends wherever he went and taught those around him the joy of a kind word and a job well done. A longtime member at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, Lloyd delighted in golf and skiing with family and friends, and enjoyed a spirited discussion and a glass of scotch. Always involved in the community, Lloyd was a founding member of St. Andrew’s United Church and was active in Friends of Science. His work with Rotary’s clean water initiative in Lombok allowed him to give back to Indonesia and its people, who had given him and his family so much. A Celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (924 Heritage Drive S.W.) on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
