Obituary of FURIAN – Waldemar

August 4, 1923 – March 13, 2011 Furian Waldemar (Wally), passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the age of 87 years. On August 4, 1923 in Duisburg, Germany a beautiful baby boy named Waldemar Furian was born. As a young man living in a country that was evolving the world most memorable war, WWII Waldemar joined the army as a great soldier to defend his country, his home at such a young age he was about to be apart of history. Waldemar immigrated in 1953 to the United States in search of building a family. In 1958 his wife, Lydia Fey arrived in the USA after trying to escape Germany’s politically divided country. Lydia became the mother of his three children; first born Christl Lynn, second Clinton Lee and Bonita Sue. Waldemar loved flying his planes in freedom after learning and obtaining his wings with his children. Also, teaching them how to ski the Rockies when he was not working hard at his successful career as a seismograph operator for large Oil and gas companies. Waldemar was transferred to Calgary, AB to succeed in his company and epand his family. Waldemar was a grandfather of Dallas Aaron and Zsa – Zsa. He lived a long and happy life, long enough to meet his first great grand daughter Ava Blanche one week before he suddenly passed away on March13, 2011 at approximately 01:30 hrs en route to Emergency at Rocky View Hospital. Waldemar will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
