Obituary of FERRARA – Antonio

January 20, 1915 – March 11, 2011 It is with deep sadness, yet gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Antonio Ferrara on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the age of 96 years. Antonio was born on January 20, 1915 in Monteforte Irpino, Italy and immigrated to Calgary, Alberta in 1966. He was predeceased by his grandsons, Michael and Christopher. Antonio is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Luisa; and their children, Alberto (Rosetta), Ray (Rita), and Lucy (Luigi); and their grandchildren, Anthony Jeff, Janelle, Luisa, and Antonio. Antonio will be sadly missed by all who have had the joy to know him and his gentle caring spirit. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
