Obituary of FUNK – Arnold Peter

February 7, 1944 – March 10, 2011 Arnold passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday morning March 10th, 2011 at the young age of 67. Arnold is lovingly remembered by his wife Elsie, three children, Sharon, Sheldon, and Steven; their spouses and eight grandchildren. He was born and raised on a farm near Main Centre, SK. Arnold received his high school diploma from Herbert High School, and then went on to Millar Bible College in Pambrun, SK. In 1960, Arnold met his loving wife Elsie and they have celebrated forty-four loving years of marriage. In 1970, they moved to Calgary where Arnold started his own kitchen cabinet business which has remained his passion to this day. In 1999, he joined the Sounds of Grace Quartet where he has touched and will continue to touch many, many lives through his God given gift of music. He was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and companion who will be deeply missed. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A Gathering to Celebrate Arnold’s Life will be held at Centre Street Church Main Campus (3900 – 2nd Street N.E.) on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
