CLARK Gladys Genevieve

Obituary of CLARK – Gladys Genevieve

April 7, 1925 – March 9, 2011 Mother, Grandmother, and loving friend passed away peacefully at the age of 85, surrounded by her family. Courageous and witty, Gladys continued to encourage and guide her family until the end. Full of faith and adventure she and her family ministered from Canada to Belize. She was a true empathizer; she wept with those who wept and rejoiced with those rejoicing. Wherever Gladys made her home, the door was open. Gladys knew Jesus as friend and counselor: “What has God done in my life? What does he mean to me? Again and again the Lord has opened closed doors for us. He has accomplished what we thought was impossible. He has carried us through trouble, and comforted us in tears. He has given us hope when we saw only gloom. He has given us joy, and he has given us lots of fun times and adventure. Not once have we deserved or merited his gifts, but he has given and given and given again…abundantly.” Gladys is survived by her 5 children (Carolyn, Roy, Sharon, Phil, and Cathie), their spouses, 14 grandchildren, and “adopted” daughters Marion and Leni. She is also survived by her sister Lois Vanstone. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Airdrie on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
