Obituary of GALANTI – Mario

October 13, 1940 – March 7, 2011 Heartbroken…. we lost a dad, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle and great friend on Monday, March 7, 2011. Mario exemplified all the wonderful and decent qualities in a human being – love, compassion, generosity, a shoulder to cry on, a great sense of humour, honesty and dedication to his family and friends. He lived a life filled with wonderful memories in Trieste, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia and Calgary. His best times were spent travelling with his wife and children, hunting with his friends, hiking in the mountains, walking in Fish Creek Park and being amongst all of his many friends here in Calgary and tutti i suoi amici a Trieste. Mario practiced dentistry in Calgary for over thirty years. Known for his “gentle hands”, Mario will also be fondly remembered by his colleagues and patients. So proud and honoured to be a part of his life are his wife of forty-two years, Graziella, his children, Alexandra (Mario) and Stefano (Manuela), his sister Gloria (Chris), niece, Olivia and nephew, Francesco (Gemma). His grandchildren, Christian, Adrian, Lia and Niccolo will also miss their wonderful Nonno, especially jumping on his bed and doing “his exercises” with him. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
