Obituary of SCHNEIDER – Evelyn Isabel

October 12, 1930 – March 5, 2011 Evelyn Schneider beloved wife of Arnold of Calgary, passed away on March 5, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Evelyn was born in Lemberg, SK where she was raised and went to school. Following high school, Evelyn moved to Calgary where she was employed in various clerical positions. She married Graham on October 14, 1961 and raised Doug and Shannon in Calgary and Edmonton. They resided in Edmonton until Graham passed away in 1980. She married Arnold on May 3, 1986 in Edmonton, and they resided in Drumheller, Edmonton, Calgary and Victoria. They returned to Calgary five years ago and enjoyed living in their retirement community. In her youth, Evelyn was an award winning member of the 4H Club and an avid ball player. She was an exceptional seamstress, creating and sewing clothing for herself and family. Evelyn loved music and dancing, and was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasure. Evelyn is survived by her loving husband Arnold, one son Doug Campbell (Sandy Mah) of Summerland, BC, son-in-law Jonathon Reiter of Victoria, BC, grandchildren Benjamin, Hannah, Nicole, Arnold’s family, Rick (Bernadette) Schneider of Shaunavon, SK, Brent Schneider (Mary Kennedy) of Kingston, ON, Kevin Schneider (Karen Wood) of Saskatoon, SK, Darcy (Susan) Schneider of Regina, SK, grandchildren, Prism, Summer, Lisa, Adrian, Olivia, Oliver, Samuel, Anna, Justin and Samara. She is also survived by a brother Arthur (Louise) Kaminski of Calgary and a sister Emilie Weich of Calgary. She was predeceased by her first husband Graham Campbell, daughter Shannon Reiter, sister Rose Naimish and brother Leonard Kaminski.
