Obituary of CONNOLLY – Gladys

April 29, 1918 – March 3, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce that Gladys Connolly of Calgary passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011, just shy of her 93rd birthday. Gladys was born in Craigmyle, Alberta on April 29, 1918. Gladys is survived by her two sons Donald (Donna) and Grant (Julie); daughter-in-law Kathy; and grandchildren Paul (Pam), Toby JoAnne (Kelly), James (Shannon), Karen (Stephen), Heather, and Sarah; and great-grandchildren Christopher, Spencer, Quinn, and Crystal. Gladys also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, lifelong friends Eva Woywitka and Hazel Healy, her extended family, and many others whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Donald; and their son Ken. Gladys is the last of her siblings, predeceased by her sisters Florrie, Rose, Doris, and Eadie; and brothers Roy, Barry, Jackie, Ernie, Charlie, and Frank. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Drive N.E.) on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
