As a new Dispatcher in 1982 and looking for guidance and leadership, Andy was the “standard” we tried to measure up to. His examples of patience, compassion, and efficiency with coworkers is something I continue to reflect upon. I treasure my vision of Andy in the white “Dispatch” shirt, so confident and focused and always setting-the-bar on how to treat others. I find myself now, as senior Dispatcher, as Andy was 29 years ago, remembering him with more respect than anyone since.
