Obituary of CANTY – Tim

December 23, 1953 – March 2, 2011 Tim Canty passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. We take comfort knowing he is with his Mother, Father and special Grandmother. Tim was born in Winnipeg Manitoba on Dec 23, 1953. He grew up in Brandon Manitoba and came to Calgary as a teenager. He spent many years here working in Fire Protection. The last 10 years of his life were spent in Red Deer, Alberta with his spouse Debbie Hutton and their dogs. Above all else, Tim was a genuine person. Always warm and accepting, Tim’s heart for others often brought out the good in them. He lived with a passion that was infectious, eagerly taking on one project after another. Whether it was helping friends and family with home renovations, or working on his classic cars, he lived a happy and fulfilled life. He had good friends in Mexico, and he loved his trips there to relax and visit with them. Unassuming and unfailingly funny, Tim’s quiet strength gave comfort to many. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his loving spouse Debbie, Tim is survived by daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Anthony Arcuri and grandson Owen of Calgary and Sarah’s mother Fayanne Canty, sister Louise Fox, nephew Tim Fox (Shauna) and their daughters Alyssa and Jamie, niece Valerie Holitski (Howard) and their children Patrick and Lily, niece Tracy Fox, Keanna and Autumn, Dayton and Mason. He will also be missed by in-laws Earl and Eleanor Hutton. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
