Obituary of LOBELLO – Antonio Tony

August 18, 1925 – February 28, 2011 Antonio “Tony” Lobello, beloved husband of Theresa, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Tony was born on August 18, 1925 in San Giovanni, Italy. Tony and Theresa were married in 1944. He immigrated to Canada in 1951, and was joined in 1954 by Theresa, and sons Joe, Johnny, and Gaitano. Tony worked for the City of Calgary in the Waterworks Division for 33 years before retiring in 1988. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Theresa; sons Joe and Gaitano; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son John in 2007. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
