Obituary of Jean Reeves GARDNER

March 25, 1930 – February 17, 2011 Jean passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Beverly Centre, Lake Midnapore, Calgary, AB. Jean was born on March 25, 1930 in New Westminster, B.C., and was predeceased by her husband, Howard James William Gardner and sister, Betty Sutherland Clark. She was a loving mother and homemaker, who served her community as a volunteer at the Rockyview Hospital, the Samaritan Club of Calgary and the international student exchange program (Rotary Club of Calgary). Jean will be forever loved by her children, Janet Goldstein (Larry), David Gardner (Pat Rasmussen), and Robert Gardner (Carolyn), and her beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan and Zachary Goldstein, Leigh Gardner, and Ryan and Cassidy Gardner. Auntie Jean will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (George) Brajcich, David (Heather) Clark, Gregory Clark, Katy (Michael) Hutchison, Gary (Jan) Gardner and Vel Gardner. We would like to express our gratitude to the caregivers, staff and friends at Carewest George Boyack and the Beverly Centre for their special care, kindness and support during Mom’s journey.
