Obituary of CHANCE – Eric Durant

September 6, 1924 – February 13, 2011 Eric Durant Chance passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the age of 86 years. He was born on September 6, 1924 in Birmingham, England and immigrated to Canada in the early 70’s, becoming a Canadian Citizen on June 4, 1981. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and John Johnson and is survived by their children and their families. Eric had a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially the family dog Frisky. We know they are all finally together again. Eric will also be remembered as a great party animal. As a long-time resident at the Bethany in West Hillhurst, he rarely missed the weekly socials and celebrations. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Bethany, particularly those on 3 Central Point and the recreation staff for the kindness shown to their Uncle over the years.
