Obituary of WILLIAMS – Eileen Marie

July 12, 1931 – February 11, 2011 Eileen Marie Williams passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Eileen was born on the homestead in Pangman, SK to Florence and William (Bill) Webb on July 12, 1931. Eileen was one of eleven children (six girls, five boys). When Eileen was eighteen years old in the summer of ’49 she met George Williams playing baseball in a tournament in Amulet, SK. They were married on February 5, 1950. Eileen and George resided in Regina, SK for most of their married life. Eileen and George enjoyed watching sports, gardening and traveling. They spent many of their retirement years in Mesa, AZ where the highlight of their day was socializing with friends during ‘Happy Hour’. Eileen had a green thumb that was envied by everyone who knew her. She was an avid bird watcher and nature lover. Her laughter and love for life was infectious. Eileen and George moved from Regina to Buena Vista where they resided until George’s passing. Eileen then moved to Okotoks, AB co-residing with her daughter Linda and son-in-law Bob with whom she was close. When her health began to fail she moved to the Beverly Centre, Calgary, AB. Eileen is survived by her three children, Patricia (Reynolds) of N. Van. BC, Linda (Davies) and her husband Bob of Okotoks, AB, and Robert and his wife Teresa of Chilliwack, BC; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Dorothy Frank, Jenny Nelson and May Dowell; four brothers, Dave, Walter, Ernie and Tom Webb; and by her sister-in-law Eileen Gee. In the early summer of 2011 Eileen will be laid to rest with her loving husband George and her parents Florence and Bill Webb in Weyburn, SK. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
