Obituary of PENNACCHIOLI – Ida

May 11, 1929 – February 9, 2011 With sorrow we announce the passing of Ida Pennacchioli on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Ida was born in Fossacesia, Chieti, Italy on May 11, 1929. She married Eusebio on February 4, 1951 and immigrated to Calgary in 1954. Ida will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a great cook, baker and gardener, who loved to host dinner parties. Most of all, she took great pride in her family, especially her two loving grandaughters. Ida is survived by her husband of sixty years Eusebio; son Enzo (Laura); granddaughters, Adriana and Maxine; sister Iolanda; brother Guido; as well as other relatives in Toronto and Italy. She was predeceased by her daughter Antonietta in 2009. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
