Obituary of MOORE – William Bill Archibald

April 6, 1920 – February 6, 2011 William “Bill” Archibald Moore of Calgary passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Bill was born in Cranbrook, BC on April 6, 1920. He completed his BSc. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Bill was a Flight Lieutenant and Navigational Instructor in the RCAF during WWII. He also worked as a Chemical Engineer with Imperial Oil. Bill was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 264. Bill is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Penny and Jim Berry of Georgetown, ON, Sharon Atwood, and Janet Owens, both of Thunder Bay, ON; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings, Fred Moore, Pearl Craig, and Rhoda Basaraba. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service will be held in Cranbrook, BC at a later date.
