Obituary of RADA – Irma Olga

September 24, 1925 – February 5, 2011 It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Irma Rada, beloved wife of Tibor Rada of Calgary, on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the age of 85 years. Besides her loving husband of sixty-three years, Irma is survived by her devoted daughter, Gina Rist; her son-in-law, John Rist; and granddaughters, Andrea and Elissa. Irma was born in Hodmezővásárhely, Hungary. She met Tibor in a refugee camp in Germany and they immigrated to Canada in 1948 as the first married Hungarian immigrant couple welcomed by Canada after World War II. They moved to Calgary in 1954 where Irma had a successful career for 36 years as a Current Accounts Supervisor with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Irma will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family and her kindness to everyone. Funeral Services will be held at Calvin Hungarian Presbyterian Church (101 – 14th Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Please forward condolences through .
