Obituary of BROGDEN – Arnold Eric

March 25, 1943 – January 30, 2011 Arnold passed away peacefully after his courageous battle with cancer at the age of 67 years. Arnold was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was born in Calgary and lived his life on the family property West of Priddis, in the Foothills that he loved. Arnold was a man of vision and used his skills and expertise in farming, ranching, steam operator for Esso and Shell, construction and land development. Arnolds focus in life was his family and he was never too busy to help a friend or neighbour. Arnold is survived by his loving wife of forty six years Pat; daughters Dawn (Rob) Pitt, Teresa Oram (Paul Johnston); granddaughter Kailey; step grandsons, Klay and Kyle Pitt; brother Bill (Janet); sisters-in-law Sharon, Gwen, Mary and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gladys and Sterling Brogden and his son Kenneth Arnold. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Priddis Hall, Priddis, AB on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
