Obituary of PRIESTLEY – Allan
January 27, 1935 – January 29, 2011
Allan Priestley of Calgary passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the age of 76 years, with Sheila, his loving wife of fifty two years, by his side.
Allan was born in Winnipeg, MB and graduated from the University of Manitoba with his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for many years for Lafarge Canada Inc (Canada Cement), Curtis Engineering and Consolidated Concrete, where he ended his career.
Allan is survived by his best friend and wife, Sheila; son Russell (Bev) of Vancouver; daughter Tracey Pegler of Calgary; sister-in-law Lynda King (Cal) and family of Calgary; and grandchildren, Matthew Stutchbury and Jasmine Beaudin. He is also survived by many close friends who have been of great support during his struggle with Alzheimers. Allan was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Elizabeth Priestley.
Memorial Services will be held at McDOUGALL UNITED CHURCH (8516 Athabasca Street S.E.) on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to thank the staff at Prince of Peace Harbour for their loving care of Allan, and also the care of his wife during his last days.
