Marian & Hugo, please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers for your loss as this loss is dear to my heart also. This was my Zia, my godmother, whom until recently unknown to m,e that upon their arrival to Canada, my Zia was my nanny when I was still a baby and as my parents had newly arrived to Canada and they both had to work to survive, Effa stepped in and lent a hand as all Italians did to help one another. My greatest memory is wanting to go to her house to eat some fresh fruit, delicious cookies and watching her manually grind her coffee beans to make a pot of aromatic coffee that to this day I still remember and when I smell that strong certain aroma today, thoughts of her in my life come to know that where she is today she has company, many family and friends who bonded together are by her side. Her smile and her always giving nature was always met with hugs and kisses and that coffee.

Dear Marina, Hugo and families,

We are saddened to hear about the passing of your Mom and Nonna – Bianca. She will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing her. Her absence at the Sabelli family gatherings was a reminder to us all how precious family time is. We pray that time will heal your sorrow. Hugo, Marina, Tony & Family I will always remember your mom for giving me a love for sweet/salty popcorn (now marketed as Kettle corn) Candy Dishes full so kids didn’t crave junk always available and the famous Birthday Rum Cake. Darren & I would pick her up for church Saturday night and she always had a handful of goodies for him he remembers. In the fall she would make sure she called me to get those sweet apples, she was and is an special angel in my life, Marina special thank you for sharing your mom with me. Love Always Elsie
