Obituary of GERBER – Brent Carl

September 8, 1961 – January 26, 2011 Brent Gerber beloved husband of Yolande and father to Ryan and Dylan of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the age of 49 years. Brent was born in Yorkton, SK and moved to Calgary when he was a child. He attended school in Calgary, graduating from E.P. Scarlett High School. Brent met Yolande in 1981 and they were married July 20, 1985. He worked hard putting himself through post secondary school and became a successful businessman, owning Redwood Developments Inc. with his brother Darryl. Brent loved spending time with his family, their vacations together, playing catch and taking the boys to various sporting events. He also enjoyed music and attended many concerts. His greatest loves were landscaping, gardening, and especially his wife Yolande. Brent is survived by his wife Yolande, sons Ryan and Dylan, his parents Carl and Eileen Gerber of Calgary, four brothers and sisters-in-law Larry and Kathy, Wayne and Elaine, Ron and Celeste, Darryl and Kelly, and his sister Janice Gerber, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
