Obituary of JOHNSTON – Roy Calvin

August 26, 1926 – January 26, 2011 Cal Johnston, beloved husband of Joan Johnston, passed away suddenly on January 26, 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. Cal was born in Deloraine, MB and raised in Goodwater, SK. He leaves behind his wife of fifty-nine years Joan; sister Dorothy Allen of Weyburn, SK; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Carmen, Kenneth, Walter, Norman and Aleck; sisters, Vera and Joy; and father Herbert and mother Carrie. Cal was a Mason and a Shriner and very active in Arab Patrol for many years and the Calgary Martinizing Association. He owned and operated four stores and then retired to Priddis Greens. Cal was an active member for twenty years of the Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club where he enjoyed many hours with friends. A Celebration of Cal’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
