Obituary of ONESPOT – Clinton Gregory
March 16, 1968 – January 20, 2011
Mr. Clinton Gregory Onespot passed away at the Foothills Hospital on January 20, 2011 at the age of 42 years old. Greg is the beloved husband of Lisa Big Plume of the Tsuu T’ina Nation. Greg is the loving father of three children. He was survived by loving siblings: David (Ginger) Onespot, Leslie Crow Child, Cory OneSpot, and Michael Onespot, god-daughter Wendelin Mistaken Chief and numerous nieces & nephews.
Greg was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 16, 1968. He was raised by his maternal grandparents the late Steven and Elsie Mistaken Chief. He attended Saipoyi Elementary School and later graduated from St. Mary’s High School located on the Blood reserve. He was actively participating in sports such as Track and Field and Football.
In later years he moved back to the Tsuu Tina Nation were he was employed with several organizations (Trades), such as; Tree Planter, Wolf Flats Ordinance, Tsuu T’ina Gas Stop, Trained Iron Worker with A&H Steel, Ellis-Don Steelworkers, and Security personal for the Tsuu Tina Indian Days Celebration. Greg will always be remembered for his kindness, gentle loving spirit, humble nature, and his outrageous sense of humor. He was the type of person who would always greet you with a smile & leave you with a laugh.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Beatrice Onespot, Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Onespot, Mr. Steven and Mrs. Elsie Mistaken Chief, Sisters; Brenda Onespot, Gwendolyn Onespot, Bonnie Soosay, Brother; Clinton Soosay. The family apologizes for anyone that may have been left out.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of 28 Two Guns Road on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (Tsuu T’ina Nation) on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Tsuu T’ina Cemetery.
