Obituary of DUSTAN – Marie June

April 6, 1934 – January 17, 2011 Sadly, Marie passed away after a brief illness at the age of 76. Marie is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Bill; sister Louise (Bob); children, Neil (Darrell) and Kathy; grandchildren, Brittany, Laura, Pauline, and Teagan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Alexander & Mildred Spankie; her sister Helen, her brother Ron; and son-in-law Tim. Marie moved with her family to Calgary from Bowden as a youth. She worked in a variety of positions, at home, and in volunteer roles. Her most recent employment was with the Royal Canadian Legion Alberta – NWT Command. She was a kind, generous, and energetic lady who enjoyed cooking, travel, and dancing. She always held a special place for her many good friends and loved her family deeply, particularly her grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded at .
