Obituary of DONALDSON – Joann Mari

September 28, 1918 – January 15, 2011 Joann Mari Donaldson, beloved mother and mother-in-law of Joan and Henry Rebstock of Calgary and grandmother of Joann (Hiroki) Kozai of Miki-Cho Japan, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 15, 2011 at the age of 92. Joann spent most of her working life in the restaurant business as a waitress, restaurant owner and finally as a clubhouse hostess in the Grandstand, Stampede Park. It was while working in this position, in the early 1980’s, that Joann won the Calgary Tourism ‘White Hatter’ award for Hostess of the year. After her retirement Joann spent much of her time travelling; cruising the Caribbean being among her favourite trips. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 1985 and her sister Olga Vaselenak in 2007. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
