Obituary of WALSH – Robert Bob Stephen

October 6, 1957 – January 14, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert “Bob” Walsh, of Calgary, on January 14, 2011 at the age of 53 years. Bob was born in Niagara Falls, ON and moved to Calgary where he began his studies at the University of Calgary, graduating in 1995 with a degree in Computer Science. Bob was a self proclaimed tech geek and had a keen interest in science and technology, always eager to add new ‘toys’ to his collection. Bob was known for his passion of music, and love for playing his guitars. He enjoyed golfing, and was a dedicated hockey fan. “Beaner Bob” was thrilled to be able to share these interests with his grandson, Elijah. Bob will be remembered for his kind heart and generous nature. Comfort is found knowing that he is once again with his beloved dobermans, Rambo and Pekoe. Bob is survived by his wife Norma Hamilton (nee Bobrosky); step-children, Nicole Hamilton and Christopher Hamilton; grandson Elijah Burrell, all of Calgary; mother Margaret Cote of Niagara Falls, ON; three sisters, Elizabeth (Glenn) Wilson of Niagara Falls, Margaret (Jim) Lepere of Niagara Falls, and Louise Snook of Welland, ON; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his father, Robert S.Walsh Sr. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
