Condolences
Skagen Family, Dane, Eric, Peter & Suzi:
We were saddened to learn of Nikki’s passing and send our deepest sympathy to you and your children. We had so many good times with Nikki and Don in Calgary and Van Couvre. She was such a fun lady and always cordial. We lost track of her after Don’s passing and this morning I awoke from a dream of them, causing me to search for her on the computer. Sadly, I found her
listed With McInnis & Holloway. Was surprised to see Peter is still single, Dane living in Baltimore, Suzi and Dane still in Calgary. May God rest her soul and Bless you, her children!
To Sue and Shane,
So sorry to hear about your sister, aunt. I know that you will indeed miss her. Just know that we are thinking of you at this time. Shirley Trent and family

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Nicky’s Family. Suzanne, Dane, Peter and Eric, you all have a very special place in my heart and memory. Nicky will be sorely missed, and fondly remembered.
Many good memories from years ago when we were in contact with Nicki & Don when our lives crossed more often. Our sympathy to Nicki’s family at this time. thanks for all those memories.
Dear Eric, Dane & Peter,
It is with sadness to find Nicky gone. Apart from being your family dentist I found your family like my family. Don and Nicky were very genuine and sincere friends. I still have real good memories with sharing a drink with Don and especially my trips with your Dad to Athabasca (speed boat) (before the tars sand projects) It was my very best experience- we even shot a moose that one trip. Hope this finds you kids -Eric,Dane & Peter in good health and disposition. Thanks for being such good buddies over many memorable years and many more of the best to you all and yours. Fondly Ben..Saik
Dear family of Nicky Skagen, our family was privileged to be the Skagen neighbors when we all lived on the corner of 57th Avenue and Elbow Drive. My sister Nell and I remember babysitting the boys, and Suzanne, your mother was so kind as to hand-down your clothes for our daughter, Sherryl, to use. Remember visiting Nicky and Don on Christmas eve , when they were very busy (easy???) assembling toys for under the Christmas tree. Appreciated seeing Nicky and Carolyn at our father’s (Fred Nieboer) funeral Jan. 1998. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, at this difficult time.
Joanne (Nieboer) Vankeimpema
