Obituary of STEPHENSON – Muriel Patricia

March 1, 1917 – January 11, 2011 A beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 just shy of her 94th birthday. Muriel was born on March 1, 1917 in Sudbury, Ontario. She is survived by her sister Helen (Bill) McCann of North Bay; seven sons, John (Lynne) of Vernon, Earl (Joanne) of Calgary, Rob (Bunny) of Fredericton, D’Arcy of Granisle, Rick (Margo) of Timmins, Jim (Sandy) of South Porcupine, and Tom (Audrey) of Calgary; stepson Doug Stephenson (Sheilagh) of Newmarket; and stepdaughter Dianne McClusky (John) of Hope. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Muriel was predeceased by husbands, Jack Young in 1965 and Norm Stephenson in 1995; grandchildren, Stephen Young and Hayley Young; her brother Earl; and seven sisters, Edna, Eva, Erma, Bella, Aleen, Willa, and Jo. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (1102 – 23rd Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
