Obituary of BARNES – Lillian Edna

May 11, 1916 – January 11, 2011 Lillian Barnes of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the age of 94 years. Lillian was born in Oak Park, Illinois to Scott and Grace McLean. The family returned to Ontario where Lillian was raised and spent most of her life. She met Lawrence just prior to him being deployed to Europe during World War II. Six years, five months later when he returned, they were married on April 12, 1946. Lillian will be remembered for being a dedicated and loving, wife and mother. Lillian is survived by two daughters and two sons, Jackie Moffatt of Calgary Avy and Cliff Youngs of Calgary Larry Barnes and Brenda O’Rourke of Toronto,ON, Paul and Claudia Barnes of Whitby, ON, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence on January 9, 1992, seven siblings, Elsie Northcott, Avis Clayton, Helen Hartlief, Charles McLean, Jack McLean, Muriel Burnett and James McLean.
