Condolences
Joan and family,
I just learned of Bob’s passing and I am very sorry. I was happy that I caught you packing in Onanole and got a little visit in before you left. I had a lot of respect for Bob and it was great knowing him.

Although I met Mr Rogers only once at a Personnel Selection Officer function, I knew of him by his great reputation as someone who brought operational focus to the Branch. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Nancy and I were saddened to learn of Bob’s passing.
It seems like only yesterday when we were enjoying each other’s company and solving the problems of the world. Bob was a great colleague in the Personnel Selection Branch because he had an combat operations background that lent itself to the then (limited) experiencial base of the Branch. We are all richer for having shared a bit of Bob’s life and he will be missed. Nancy and I extend our condolences to former PSel colleague Mike and our sympathy to all Rogers family members. May God grant his soul eternal rest.
Nancy and I have made a donation to Sing Canada Harmony to honour the memory of Bob Rogers.

As you well know, Bob and I go back to 1955 as roudy teenagers in Shilo, Manitoba. He was a wonderful friend then and we remained close through our early years in Cadets, Militia, respective Regimental duty and, of course, Airborne. As “military brats” we don’t get to see each other much, but I will always remember Bob with great respect for all he accomplished. My most sincere condolences to the Rodgers family at this sad time.
Mike
RIP soldier, may your next jump be with fair winds and a moonlit sky. Sincere condolences to Bucks family and friends, I am sure your as proud of him as our Airborne Brethren are.
Dear Joan
We would like to send you and your family our condolences. We know that Bob fought hard and
we pray he is at peace. He was a good friend.
Sincerely
Evelyn and Rod Lewandoski

We at the Association are very sorry for your loss.
Joan & Family: We were so sorry to learn of Bob’s passing, although not altogether unexpected. He fought such a courageous battle and accomplished so much, even after being diagnosed with cancer. He was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure to know him. While your family chain has been broken, the memmories will live forever. We are all better people for having had the friendship of Bob Rogers.
All the staff at Airdrie Urgent Care would like to pass on their heartfelt condolences.
We were extremely fond of the Rodgers family and it was a pleasure looking after Bob.

Joan and family,
Please accept most sincere condolences from Sharon and me at this very sad time. Buck and I went back in time to our recruit training in 1960 when we formed a strong and lasting friendship. He was a gentleman, a fine soldier and a great mess mate. I’m glad we had that brief time together in 2008 to renew our friendship. The world is a poorer place without him.
To Joan and Family, Extending deep and heartfelt sympathy. May the memories of him keep you going.
Joan and Family,
Very sorry to hear of Buck”s passing. I can still recall the photo of Buck exiting a Flying Boxcar with his jumping teddy bear under his arm.
He will now be welcomed into the PPCLI/Airborne Celestial Chapter by Rick Caesar and the other fine Patricia’s that proceeded him.
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
Dear Aunt Joan, Cousin Bob & Ginger and all the family,
Peace be with you in this time of great sorrow. Remember always the strength Uncle Bob had for us all in sickness and in health. His memory will always be in our hearts.
Our sincerest condolences.
Kerri Greenhough and Andrew Rodgers
