Obituary of RYBKA – Rose

November 6, 1910 – January 7, 2011 Rose Rybka, 100 years young, of Calgary, formerly of Winnipeg, MB passed away in her sleep January 7, 2011 Rose was born in Winnipeg, MB on November 6, 1910. She graduated from St. Johns High School and married Dad soon after. Mom worked as a bookkeeper at several companies until her retirement in 1972 when she and Dad moved to Bird River, MB where she took up her hobbies of gardening and fishing. Mom was an avid reader and was given an Ipad for her 100th birthday, which she enjoyed very much. She also raised some chickens and a few geese from her granddaughter’s school project. Mom leaves to mourn her three daughters, Vivienne Gish of Las Vegas, NV, Ione Plasky of Calgary, AB and Pat Carpenter of Winnipeg, MB. She also leaves four grandchildren, Zoe Anne Sandy of Clancy, MT, Trudy (Kevin) Allen of Dugald, MB, Terri (Lauren) Dueck of Oakbank, MB, Randy Plasky of Calgary, AB; six great-grandchildren Christopher, Miranda, Chelsea, Brett, Stuart and Patrick and one great-great-grandson, Matthew; special friends Morris (Michelle) Robinson of Winnipeg, MB; two very special nieces, Mazie Hanson (nee Happichuck) of Vancouver, BC and Gwen Pierce of Seqim, WA. She was predeceased by her husband Isadore, who passed away in 1990, shortly after they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes no service will be held. If you wish to make a donation in her memory, please give to the charity of your choice. You may forward condolences through .
