Obituary of McRAE – Kathryn Dawn

August 3, 1959 – January 6, 2011 Kathy McRae, beloved wife of Richard (Rick) of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the age of 51 years after courageously battling cancer. Born on August 03, 1959 in Calgary, AB, she grew up to be an amazing daughter, wife, mother, role model and friend. At a young age Kathy began working at Canada Dry and spent 30 years working in the soft drink industry. She and Rick were married on December 1, 1979. Kathy enjoyed family vacations, camping, baseball, and her new home southwest of Rolling Hills where she found her new love, GOLF. Her biggest passion was being actively involved in her childrens’ lives and most recently her beautiful granddaughter Addison. She could usually be found on the golf course with loved ones or sitting beside the camp fire laughing with friends. Besides her loving husband Rick, Kathy is survived by her two children, Jamie (Lisa) McRae of Bonnyville, Alberta and Katy (Joseph) Clevenger along with grand daughter Addison of Derwent, Alberta. She is also survived by her parents, Lionel and Patricia MacKinnon; Brothers Joe (Susan) MacKinnon, Jim (Milly) MacKinnon; Sisters Kelly (Kevin) Stellar, Karen (Steve) Cramm; Sister-in-law Lorre (Kim) Davidson; Mother-in-law Peggy McRae and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kathy was predeceased by here father-in-law Mervyn McRae. A celebration of life will be held at Rollings Hills Community Hall (3rd St. & Hwy 875 Rolling Hills, Alberta) on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
