Obituary of WESTBURY – Allan James

September 12, 1924 – January 6, 2011 Allan James Westbury born September 12, 1924, passed away peacefully January 6, 2011. Allan was born in Swift Current, SK. He served in the army in Italy, during the Second World War. Allan lived most of his life in Calgary as a union plumber. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Forest Lawn Branch 275 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary dirty dozen. Allan enjoyed all sports, but most of all, dancing. He touched many lives with his generosity and smile. Allan maintained his wonderful sense of humour to the end. Allan is survived by his wife Bertie; children Debby and Howard; grandchildren, Cynthia and Curtis, Vanessa and Dwight, Nykkol and Mariah; great-grandchildren; brothers Bud (June), and Art, as well as countless other family and friends whom were blessed to have known him. Allan was predeceased by his first wife, Eveline; and brother William. A Celebration of Allan’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through .
