Obituary of STIRTON – Patrick David

May 26, 1920 – January 5, 2011 Patrick (Pat) Stirton passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Pat was born and raised in Calgary. He led an interesting and varied life, working in different fields during his lifetime. These included Seismic Electro logging, working for a Calgary radio station; he then went on to work in Hollywood for a brief time doing film editing. He returned to Calgary and worked for Henry Birks & Sons where he met and married Lois. After the children were born, he worked for the city in the planning department. And finally, he became a real estate agent for a number of years. Pat is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Eric Mosley of Calgary; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Heather Stirton of Cobble Hill, BC and Richard and Beverly Stirton of Kelowna, BC; and three grandchildren, Daniel, David and Talia. He was predeceased by his wife Lois Stirton (nee Duffus) in 1976. No service by request. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
