Obituary of BURROUGHS – Robert Paul

December 8, 1930 – January 4, 2011 Robert (Bobba) Burroughs of Calgary passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Bob was born on December 8, 1930 in York, ON and came to Calgary in 1963 where he lived out his life. Bob had a welcoming heart for everybody he came in contact with. His door was always open and he had a truly wonderful gift and unique ability to selflessly support people. Bob will be remembered for his love of life, animals and his caring and giving attitude towards anybody who needed a hand. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially the grand-kids. Bob will be sadly missed by his step-daughter, Melodie (Brian) McBeath and her family. He is survived by two sons, Brian (Fran) Burroughs and Richard Burroughs and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his long time friend and partner Kathleen Mitchell in 2007.
