Obituary of LUKSA – Anica Blanca

March 12, 1928 – January 1, 2011 Anica Blanca Luksa beloved wife to Zmago Luksa, passed away on Saturday January 1, 2011 at the age of 82 years. Anica was born in Peteranec, Croatia. She met Zmago in Rijeka, Croatia and were married in 1962. Together they immigrated to Canada on December 6, 1966 where they started their life together in Montreal. They moved to Burlington, ON in 1971 and to Calgary in 1981. Anica shared a passion for arts and crafts, astrology and enjoyed writing poems which she remembered word for word. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by us all. Anica is survived by her husband Zmago, daughter Elizabeth Luksa-Bond (John Firmston), grandchildren Courtney Luksa-Bond, Kevin Firmston and Jaimie Firmston, brother Marijan Cutanec (Jeannine Porier), sister-in-law Milka Mitic, as well nieces, nephews and other relatives in Slovenia. She was predeceased by her mother Marija Cutanec (nee Loncar), her father Pavao Prosenjak and her brother Vlado Cutanec.
