Condolences
Dear Jarrett & Mike,
I am sorry for the loss of your parents. Your mom and Dad were the nicest people I ever met. I always appreciated their kindness and caring they have shown toward me in my youth. I am always grateful to have known them and with their memories I will always treasure.
Please extend my belated condolences to your family.
Kind Regards,
H. Khuu
I was saddened to read of the double passing of Russ and Diana Terlesky in the Advocate – now almost a year ago.
Prior committments did not allow me to attend the funeral in Calgary.
As the anniversary of their passing approaches, I still wanted to share the memory I had of Russ at the U of A.
It has been over half a century since I last crossed Russ’ path. He was a first year Engineering student living on the third floor of Assiniboia Hall. My twin brother and I were in second year. What I remember about Russ was his beautiful penmanship, his quiet brilliance, and his open door policy. That meant you could bug him for help solving your Math and Physics. While it was unusual for second years to approach first year students, Russ was an exception.
From the obituary if appears as if Russ didn’t lose his likeable qualities with the passage of years.
Please extend our belated sympathies to the Terlesky family.
Regards
Robert and Sharon Lampard
I was in the same shoes as you are now when my parents passed away a few years
back. I know the pain goes deep in your heart and probably saying this is not the time yet. But I am sure they are now in peace and happily together ever after.
Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go with you at this very difficult time.
Jarrett & Wendy,
We were shocked and saddened to hear about your parents Jarrett. We didn’t know your dad, but your mom was such a wonderful lady and was always so cheerful when we came into your clinic. She always had some good advice and was just great to have a conversation with. We will really miss her welcoming face. If there is anything we can do for you, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Mike and Jay,
Diana and Russ were good people. We always enjoyed their calmness and pride as they updated us Mike’s adventures and Jay’s family. They will be missed. We continue to think of them and you both. Sincerely, Dean and Tania
Dear Michael & Jarett & family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your parents. I had the pleasure and honour of working with Diana at Pacific Linen and she was one of the most spectacular individuals I have ever met. We became friends and kept in touch over the years. Diana and Russ were at my wedding and we have pictures of them laughing and having a great time. I feel very blessed to have known Diana and will miss her dearly. She was such a kind and loving person and we always used to have tons of fun together and we laughed a lot. Take comfort in knowing that the good times and great memories will indeed heal the pain that you are feeling now and give you the strength to live the lives your parents would have wished for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care. Sincerely, Tracy

To the Terlesky Family,
I was very sad to learn of the deaths of Russ and Diana and extend my sincerest sympathies for your loss. Although it has been too many years since Russ and I worked together at Chevron and since I had the pleasure of swapping stories with him, the mention of Russ brings back good memories, memories of someone who never lost view of the “human” element in business. He was always interested in and concerned about the well being of his colleagues. Perhaps the rest of us could have better followed his example at times.
Bob
I was saddened to read of the double passing of Russ and Diana Terlesky in the Advocate.
Unfortunately prior committments will not allow me to attend the funeral on Tuesday in Calgary.
It has been over half a century since I last crossed Russ’ path. He was a first year Engineering student living on the third floor of Assiniboia Hall. My twin brother and I were in second year. What I remember about Russ was his beautiful penmanship, his quiet brilliance, and his open door policy. That meant you could bug him for help solving your Math and Physics problems, and rarely be burdened with time consuming questions in return. While it was unusual for second years to approach first year students, Russ was an exception.
From the article if appears as if Russ didn’t lose his likeable qualities with the passage of years.
Please extend our sympathies to the family.
Regards

My deepest condolences to the family.
Russ was my room mate in 1962 when he was a fresh Calstan recruit, and my boss in 1995 when he was Manager of Chevron’s Joint Ventures group. Lots of great memories over those 33 years. I could use 3 words to describe Russ : “A CLASS ACT”

To the Family, Words are difficult to find to express our profound sadness at the loss of Diana and Russ. We admired them, they were upstanding people with great hearts and love for life and people. They eluded a calmness and positive approach to life. Our friendship goes back to the Fox Creek days, 37 years ago. We felt blessed to have met your family. We send you our deepest sympathizes.
Jarret and family,
My heart is with you through this most difficult unexpected loss. Diana was the sweetest of women. I know, both her and your father will be missed so much. If I can help with the children, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to call. Sincerely, Heather Matsalla
