Obituary of SCIORE – Anna

April 20, 1927 – December 28, 2010 Surrounded by her family who gave her courage, strength and love, in the days and hours before her passing on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Anna was born in Sulmona, Italy, immigrating to Canada in 1956 where she joined her husband Evelino (predeceased) and made Calgary her home. Anna was lovingly devoted to her family; an exceptional homemaker who prided herself in hosting many memorable “pranzos” delighting her family and friends with her many creative recipes. Anna leaves behind her loving daughter Rita Medori (Oreste); son Panfilo (Sue); granddaughter Elizabeth; grandson Michael; brother Luigi; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of thirty-five years Evelino; her brothers, Mario, Giusseppe, Ettore, and Pasquale; and loving parents Panfilo and Marietta. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, January 5, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, January 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
