Obituary of DIXON– Petrina Vondakay

May 17, 1976 – December 26, 2010 Petrina Vondakay Dixon was called home by our Creator on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the age of 34 years. Petrina was a kind, caring, generous friendly person with a great sense of humour. Petrina is survived by her beloved mother Christine Dixon; her children, Andrew, Adam, Emma, Toby, Bailey and Zeal; three sisters, Verna (Darren) Applegarth, Charmayn (Garnet) and Naomi, four brothers, Kevin, (Agnes), Mcfarland, Leroy and Healey; a neice Rodeleanna who she thought of as her own sister; and nephew Devalon who she thought of as her brother. She is also survived by uncles, Sykes (Wanita) Powderface and Roy (Bernice) Dixon; auntie Ramona Wildman and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family members from Morley, Eden Valley, Big Horn and Hobbema. Petrina was predeceased by her father Gatine Dixon (1981); three brothers, Andrew (1981), Shawn (1990) and Doyle (1995); a sister Vondakay (1969), grandparents, Harrison Powderface (1998), Becky Powderface (1981), Mcfarland Dixon (1967) and Marth Dixon (1991); her adopted parents Clifford (Shot Close) Rider and Kay; uncles Sam Powderface and Peter Powderface; and aunts Esther Wesley and Susanne Bearspaw. We apologize if we have missed anyone but we still remember them. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Ramona Wildman (Morley, AB) on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 and Wednesday, January 5, 2011. At the request and respect for the deceased there will be no viewing at the church on Thursday. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Services to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).
