Obituary of GIACCHETTA – Carmine

April 29, 1931 – December 24, 2010 Carmine Giacchetta of Calgary passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010 at the age of 79 years. Carmine was born in Sessano, Campobasso, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1968 to begin a new life for his wife Donata (Matilda) and his four sons that joined him a year later in 1969, Carmine worked as a bricklayer for Pockar Brothers Masonry until he retired. Carmine is survived by his wife of fifty- six years Donata (Matilda) and his four sons; Aldo (Luciana), Luciano (Caroline), Angelo (Sandie), Silvano (Trish), and his ten grandchildren; Antonella, Brandi, Daniel, Holly, Kelsey, Brandon, Brittney, Cinzia, Rees, Eliot, and two great-grandchildren; Taylor and Brooklyn. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640- 19 Avenue NW) on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
