Obituary of SALISBURY – Gillian

July 13, 1942 – December 23, 2010 Gillian Salisbury passed away at the age of 68, surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her beloved husband and best friend of 48 years, Brian; her loving daughters Elaine (Todd), Alison (Andrew), and Diane (Andrew); and the lights of her life, her grandchildren Steven, Rachel, and Liam who will cherish the memories of their wife, Mother and Grammy. She is also survived by her sister Sylvia (Pete) Dowd; nephews Vaughn, Leon and Justin; her sister-in-law Joyce Whittaker, nieces and nephews Mike, Ken, Lisa and relatives of the Dowd and Whittaker families in Manchester, England. She was predeceased by her parents Gilbert and Lillian Whittaker and her brother Allan Whittaker. She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends and will be missed more than words could ever say. She was the core of our family and gave us the best gift anyone can give – the certainty of love.
