Obituary of COOMBS – Vincent Bruce

January 26, 1924 – December 17, 2010 Bruce Coombs of Calgary passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the age of 86 years, with his family by his side. Bruce worked as a Geologist at Texaco Canada after moving to Canada from the US in 1952. He developed a passion for community affairs during this time leaving him with a deep commitment to those who serve others. Bruce thoroughly enjoyed his latter years at Lake Bonavista Village where he developed strong friendships with both staff and residents. Bruce is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Darcy Coombs and Lynne Ralston of Calgary; and his sister, Dr. Polly Ann Coombs of Louisville, Kentucky. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Connie Coombs; daughter Melissa Coombs and his brother Robert Wendell Coombs.
